Overview
This website, thecardguard.com.au, is run by TheCardGuard, an Australian business based in Queensland ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service apply when you browse our site or buy from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms, together with our Shipping Policy, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
Our products
We sell acrylic Card Guards that hold and display graded trading-card slabs. Guards are made to fit standard PSA and BGS slabs, with an internal thickness of 8 mm for PSA guards and 10 mm for BGS guards. Please check the Compatibility section on our homepage and choose the guard that matches your grading company before you order. Slabs from other graders, or older and non-standard slabs, may not fit.
Each guard is cut and engraved individually, and colours can look slightly different on different screens. If your guard arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, contact us and we'll put it right under our Refund Policy.
Cards and slabs shown in our photos and videos are for display only and are not included with your purchase. A Card Guard is a display and protection accessory; it is not insurance, and we don't guarantee the value or grade of any card.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) unless your checkout shows otherwise. Shipping is calculated at checkout. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers, and we never see or store your full card details.
We may change prices at any time, but the price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place your order. If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.
Orders
We may decline or cancel an order, for example if the item is unavailable, if we suspect fraud or unauthorised use of a payment card, or if there is a pricing error. If we cancel an order, we refund your payment in full to the original payment method.
Stock is limited and isn't reserved until your order is placed. Sold-out items may be restocked; where available, you can sign up on the product page to be told when they're back.
Promotions, discounts and prizes
Promotions such as bundle offers, automatic discounts, discount codes and spin-to-win prizes apply only for the period and on the conditions shown with the offer. Whether discounts can be combined is determined at checkout. Promotions can't be exchanged for cash, and spin-to-win prizes are limited to one per person. We may change or end a promotion at any time, but this won't affect orders already placed.
Shipping and returns
Shipping methods, costs and delivery times are set out in our Shipping Policy. Returns, replacements and refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. International customers are responsible for any import duties, taxes or customs fees charged in their country.
Reviews and content you share with us
If you send us a review, photo, video or comment, whether on our site, by email or by tagging or messaging us on social media, you give us permission to use it, with your first name or handle, to promote TheCardGuard. You confirm that it's genuine and that you have the right to share it. We may remove content that is offensive, misleading or unlawful, and we never edit a review to change its meaning.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, product photos, videos, graphics, logos and designs, belongs to TheCardGuard or is used with permission. You may not copy or use it for commercial purposes without our written permission.
PSA, BGS, Beckett, Pokémon, One Piece, Dragon Ball and other names shown on this site are trademarks of their respective owners. TheCardGuard is an independent business and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any grading company or trading-card publisher.
Using our site
You agree not to use the site for anything unlawful, interfere with its security or operation, place fraudulent orders, or scrape it with automated tools. We work to keep our information accurate and the site available, but we can't guarantee it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
Links to other websites, such as social media or payment providers, are there for convenience. We aren't responsible for their content or practices.
Our responsibility to you
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Apart from those rights, and to the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for loss of or damage to cards or slabs placed in a guard, unless it results from our negligence or a failure to meet a consumer guarantee.

How we collect and use your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
